If you are a renter, the likelyhood that you are not allowed to paint the walls is probably high. You are lucky if you are allowed to hang things on walls in some rental properties. Never fear, because there’s always another solution to our decorating obstacles.

Washi tape has become the home decorator’s go-to hack to add temporary but still beautiful color accents.  In fact, washi tape has become the college goer’s best friend and even used in military baracks as a way to add a little color to a room. With washi tape, you can add your own flair to your walls, doors, even appliances and you will not have the same pattern or color pallet as someone else. It is all done and personalized by you on the spot and easy to change up, install, and clean up after you take it down.

What can you do with washi tape when it comes to adding color to your walls? Here are some of my favorite washi tape wall treatments for your washi tape inspiration!
